May 31st, 2006 - "hobbies"

so i decided i really need a hobbie. something i am passionate about. and i am passionate about few things in life. one thing i would love to do is write. i am a good writer, if you like reading something where you feel like you are having a conversation with the writer. i don't really know how to write very professionally. i mean, i can read, write, spell, and use proper grammar (or is it grammer, hah) for the most part - but as far as structure, i am all over the place. but some people are in to that. anyway - i realized i wanted to be a writer for rolling stone magazine, doing cd reviews. 2 things i love, music and writing. however, i am sure there are 435908 lined up for a job like that, and they probably have journalism degrees, whereas i merely have a journalism award from my sophomore year of high school. go me. so now the issue really is, i don't know what to write about. i can't even keep up with my LJ, obviously. i can't go back to school becase i cannot be TOLD what to write, but i do need DIRECTION. topics. something that interests me. i can only write things i am interested in, that's why my college papers were less than interesting. so i might put this idea on the back burner, because even if i write, i don't really know of anyone that is going to want to read my shit.

i need to learn how to cook. so i think that's where i will start. i will learn to cook and then i will start to write. i need to start cooking home meals, because eating out is too expensive to do all the time, and i only eat like 5 things (all of which are super fattening). maybe i will start tonight. i want to start having dinners, but my issue is that i have too much company all the time, and can't afford to feed everyone. or appease everyone, since everyone likes different things. i also wanna learn to cook for keegan since all too often he gets home past midnight and has nothing to eat. then again, even if i did cook, he wouldn't eat it unless it was chicken, pizza, or pasta. yeah, i want to make pasta for dinner tonight.

so anyway - if anyone wants to spark my interests in other things, or give me some idea on what i should write about - i would love it. memoirs of amanda chester should def be a book, but i have no memory, so it may never get to happen, and that is a travesty. ciao folks.
