July 12th, 2005 - "stress fest 2005"

so im on my lunch break with keegan on friday. and its raining. i fucking hate the rain. and im coming up to the intersection of forest rd. and long pond rd in yarmouth, by dunkin donuts. im doing about 35-40 mph. the woman in front of me is going.. then sees the light turn yellow, and re-evaluates her situation and decides to slam on her brakes only AFTER she has passed a full car length over the "waiting for the light" line. well i wasnt prepared for that. i wouldnt have hit her, if it wasnt fucking raining and slippery. to make a long story short i slammed into her, and if you saw my car you would think it was totaled. i closed my eyes right before i hit her so i dont know exactly what happened. its weird that i cant control my eyes when i get scared. anyway- i couldnt even get out of the car cuz i was freaking out so bad, so keegan had to handle the entire accident. her car is barely fucked up at all, i dont get it. so then the cops came and cited me for not paying attention when approaching a yellow light, or something like that. it sucks, but they werent dicks about it which was good. keegan had to drive home cuz i was bugging out. so now my insurance will go up 4 points for a major accident, and probably another point for the citation. so much for lower insurance for good driving points. hah. and im now out $1000 to fix this fucking piece.

the next day i decided, since my hood was bent up but didnt look like it was going anywhere, that i should drive to get coffee. we fiddled with the hood to make sure it wouldnt do anything crazy when i drove it. no sooner than 100 feet from our apartment did the fucking thing fly up and shatter my windshield. one of the scariest experiences ever. my mom had to get us at the church and let me borrow her car. what a fucking weekend.

so now we officially have no legal vehicle. keegan needs to send back his plates like THIS WEEK to the registry. he has been driving me to work in the morning, but its really sketchy. briana is bringing him to work for me today, but i need to find someone to pick him up tonight. oy vey. i also think briana, nick, erin, and i are going to that pretty beach in welfleet, then to p-town for ice cream. im sorta excited cuz its very nice today. that and i like when briana hangs out since its not so often anymore. <3>
